Boy on Tank

ABOUT

We live in a world stricken with poverty, oppression and religious persecution. It’s victims are silenced in their suffering. For those of us who hear their stories, there is no choice. Our voice is a powerful ally. We must speak.

Mission Statement:

At Nadus Films, we believe love demands justice. Our purpose is to use our gifts and resources to document the story of the Sudanese, and share it with the world. Treading gently as servants, we seek to touch the lives and hearts of the war torn nation of Sudan, by bringing them hope for a peaceful future.

The New Sudan

Our objective at Nadus is to release a film that will bring both awareness and action in helping the war-torn nation of Sudan rebuild. The film “The New Sudan” will educate its viewers on the history of the civil war that was fought between the heavily Islamic north and largely Christian south. More importantly, the viewers will be educated on the prospect of sustainable peace in southern Sudan. Most documentaries leave the viewer at the level of awareness with no action. “The New Sudan” will give many outlets for those desiring to serve and/or give to the partners in Sudan who are actively making a change. The money invested into Nadus Films will directly go to the making and distribution of “The New Sudan” and in effect, the rebuilding of Southern Sudan.

History of Nadus

In July of 2005, Coury and a small team got a chance to travel to Sudan and see it for themselves. Coury filmed and photographed the Sudanese and discovered a real passion. “It wasn’t just the desperate need that drew me into the Sudanese people,” he says, “but rather the raw beauty and laughter that enraptured me. I see strong potential for these people to rebuild after many years of war. It is an honor to play a small role in this effort.”

It was after this trip that Nadus Films was born. In July of 2007, Coury and his crew once again sought to capture the beauty and frightening truths of the Sudanese people and share it with as many people as possible. The trip was a success. The result is hours of footage that will be faithfully and respectfully shaped into an honest cinematic vision of The New Sudan.
