Twenty years ago, Nadus Films started with a borrowed camera, a belief, and not much else.
We believed stories mattered. That when told honestly and with craft, they could change how people see the world. That belief has been tested through shifting technology, shrinking attention spans, tighter budgets, and louder noise. It is still the reason we show up.
After producing films across 30 countries and 30 states, twenty years in, story still wins.
This year reminded us why.
The Work That Matters
At the heart of Nadus is a simple conviction. Stories create impact. Impact fuels generosity. Generosity changes outcomes.
Through our Give a Story Grant program, we partner with nonprofits doing hard, meaningful work with limited resources. Many had never had a professional film made before. Some were unsure whether film would make a difference.
Then the films went out into the world.
We watched stories open doors. Doors to new donors. Doors to deeper trust. Doors to conversations that had never happened before. In more than one case, the return on a single project far exceeded the cost to produce it. This is what makes the donor dollar go further!
That is the power of story when it is done well.
Give a Story is not charity for charity’s sake. It is leverage. It is stewarding donor dollars wisely and equipping nonprofits with tools that keep working long after the camera is packed up.
This year confirmed what we have believed for a long time. When nonprofits are equipped to tell their story clearly and honestly, people respond.

What We Are Hoping to Do Next
As we look ahead to 2026, the need is only growing.
We already have a slate of nonprofit partners hoping to receive partial or full Give a Story Grants next year. These organizations are working across Kentucky, Syria, Jerusalem, Southern Sudan, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh. They are serving vulnerable communities, addressing systemic issues, and doing work that often goes unseen.
The stories are there. The impact is waiting.
What stands between them and the work is simple. Resources.
Year-end donations directly fund production for these films. They allow us to say yes more often. They allow us to stretch donor dollars further. They allow more worthy organizations to tell stories that sustain their mission.
